WEIGHT LOSS – GOODBYE TO DIETS
It seems that almost everyone is trying to lose weight, unsuccessfully. Many diets are tried that are not necessarily good for the health, and which do not help to lose weight. If it does, after a while the weight is right back on. It’s a cycle that is unhealthy for the body and the mind, as it leads to increasing depression and loss of self confidence (Luckily I can help you with these too J) The only diet that works is a mental one – diet from negative thoughts.
Studies have shown that the best way to lose weight is through a holistic approach, addressing the health of the body and the mind, achieving an overall state of wellness. Most of the time, unwanted excess weight is a symptom of deeper, internal issues: unresolved issues from the past or things like lack of self esteem or carrying negative emotions. It is only when these are resolved, can a weight loss programme be successful. To spend time berating yourself for being overweight, to feel guilty about every bite of food you eat, is just a waste of time if you haven’t dealt with the real problem – what’s going on with your thoughts and emotions.

TAKE CONTROL OF WHAT YOU EAT
In addition to this, it is essential to have a knowledge of the correct nutrition for the body and what to avoid. Unfortunately, what our ancestors took for granted for good health – easy access to safe, nutritious food, is not the case for us. It’s as if our entire food chain has been hijacked – pesticides in our fruit and vegetables, harmful ingredients in packaged and processed food and antibiotics and artificial processes used in the cultivation of our livestock. We need to take charge of our health and nutrition and be extra vigilant about what we’re buying and feeding ourselves and our families.
All the above need to be taken into consideration when aiming for weight loss and a healthy body and mind. My coaching technique can assist you with achieving these goals.

This means that your thoughts have a direct effect on every single cell in your body, which has an impact on your physical health and mental well being. Did you get that? The thoughts that you hold in your mind affect your body. Isn’t this amazing: it means that you can take control of your health by changing your thoughts. How exciting is that!

Louise Hay in her ground breaking book ‘You can Heal your Life’ says ‘I believe we create every so- called illness in our body. The body, like everything else in life, is a mirror of our inner thoughts and beliefs. The body is always talking to us, if we only take the time to listen…. Continuous modes of thinking and speaking produce body behaviours and postures and “eases” or “dis-eases” ‘
Isn’t that phenomenal? How many of us are actually aware that every disease or pain in our body, is actually the symptom of some underlying negative or unresolved thought, emotion or belief? Hay was one of the first people to bring this to the public awareness on a mass scale. It caused a health revolution: millions of people have been able to heal themselves and achieve good health by addressing their emotional baggage. Doctors and surgery do not have to be the first resort; you can heal yourself. According to Louise Hay, these are a few examples of negative emotions and beliefs and the diseases they cause:
- Anxiety – Not trusting the flow and process of life
- Arthritis – Feeling unloved, criticism, resentment
